Republican presidential and vice-presidential candidates John McCain and Sarah Palin went right from their national convention to campaign in Macomb County last weekend. And, it was no accident. Since 1980 Macomb County has had a national reputation as the home of the so-called Reagan Democrats. But does that stereotype hold? And, how representative of the rest of the nation is Macomb County? Bill Ballenger is the founder and publisher of Inside Michigan Politics. Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke with him.
