Good article. The truest line is "the auto industry is responsible for the shape it's in".
And that is the saddest commentary possible of an entire industry, and the tens of million of lives they touch. The could have that etched on their tombstones.
While America's leaders seem intent on de-industrializing our Country, the last thing we needed
was for the last remaining large scale industry to commit suicide.
How can so called intelligent people be so oblivious, and blind as a bat to reality?
Toyota and Honda, etc., should every day give thanks for the GM, Ford and Chrysler management teams that handed them our car market on a platter.
