When it comes to embryonic stem cell research, Michigan is one of the five most restrictive states in the nation. Not only don’t we fund it, we forbid it. Meanwhile, other states, such as California, are pouring billions of dollars into the science. Tomorrow, State Representative Andy Meisner is planning on holding hearings about stem cell research and the funding it receives. Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke with him.
