I think it is a big risk to our state and national economy to prohibit stem cell research.

Imagine the spark that a discovery at one of those lovely (and empty) buildings at U of M could set off in the metro Detroit economy. The 21st century has so far not been kind to the "motor city" region, but whoever lights the spark and captures the momentum through the definitive next wave of scientific discovery will benefit reap economic as well as scientific benefits.

Michigan has great resources in people and education, it is a shame not to utilize them.
