<p>I suspect that Jack's concern is not so much with "years of experience and expertise in the work of governing," because Barack Obama didn't have a whole lot of that.</p>
<p>Rather, I suspect that Jack is reflecting the grave concern of many on the left that, in Michigan, they are looking at a choice in the fall of 2010 between a conservative Republican and a Democrat who is very much of a moderate, and quite possibly a moderate Democrat who has burned all bridges to the vote-buying power of Michigan's labor unions.</p>
<p>And what will THAT do to all of the other down-ballot races?</p>
