Interview: David Carroll - 6/17/2008

Anyone who has ever seen a T-V courtroom drama knows that if you are charged with a crime and can’t afford a lawyer, the court must appoint one for you. But, a new study shows that Michigan is worse than almost every other state in failing to provide adequate legal representation to those who need it. David Carroll is director of the National Legal Aid Defender Association, which conducted the study. Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke with him.
