Interview: Tricia Kinley - 10/12/07

As part of a last-minute deal to balance the budget, the Michigan legislature extended the state sales tax to a hodgepodge of services, many of which involve the business of new business. That’s an idea strongly opposed by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, which wants lawmakers to repeal the service tax. Tricia Kinley is director of tax policy and economic development for the chamber. Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke with her.
