Last fall, Republican Timothy Walberg was elected to Congress from Michigan’s Seventh District. The district stretches from Ann Arbor to Battle Creek. But he won only a narrow victory against an underfunded opponent. Next year’s race will be hotly competitive. The big question: Will the man Walberg beat in the Republican primary, former congressman Joe Schwarz, run again? And if he does, will it be as a Republican, Democrat or Independent? Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke with Schwarz.
