Interview: Vern Ehlers - 1/24/07

President George Bush focused heavily on the domestic economy in his State of the Union speech last night -- but some of his prescriptions may not be too popular in Michigan. He called for a dramatic increase in fuel economy standards and the use of less oil. Representative Vern Ehlers is a Republican from Grand Rapids.  He’s one of only two congressmen who have a PhD in physics.  Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke with him.
