Most of us do anything we can to stay out of jail. Yet recently, some people convicted of drunk driving have been asking district judges to sentence them to jail rather than strict probation. What’s going on here? Kevin Early directs criminal justice studies at the University of Michigan Dearborn. Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke with him.
