Interview: Kevin Gaines - 1/15/07

For many who celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, today’s celebration of his birthday is bittersweet. Two months ago, Michigan voters rejected affirmative action by an overwhelming margin. So what does that mean for those who are still trying to make his dream a reality.  Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke with Kevin Gaines -- a history professor at the University of Michigan and director of the Center for Afroamerican and African studies.
