Everybody knows that the Detroit area, especially the central city, badly needs economic revitalization. This week leaders of a number of groups came together to form a new alliance aimed at doing just that. “One D: Transforming Regional Detroit” is designed to restructure the economy, boost mass transit, and improve education and the region’s quality of life. Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke with Doug Rothwell. He is with Detroit Renaissance one of the groups involved in One D.
