Interview: Mark Fendrick - 6/1/06

Many experts think the coming trend in health insurence is to a system of Health Savings Accounts or HSAs combined with high deductible or catastrophic plans.  It means you may pay thousands out of pocket before the insurer pays anything, but you get to save money for health care costs in your tax free HSA.  Some employers even contribute to your HSA.  Mark Fendrick  is a professor of both health management policy and internal medicine at the University of Michigan. Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke to him about this trend in health care coverage.
