Campaigns seem to be constantly starting earlier and getting more expensive, and this year’s race for governor seems to be setting new records. Dick DeVos is likely to be unopposed for the Republican nomination and he’s spent something like $3 million so far on TV advertising. He is now running even in the polls with incumbent Gov.
