Interview: Dawud Walid - 2/21/06

Violent protests over the publication of cartoons satirizing the Prophet Muhammed have continued around the world.  But in Michigan, there have been a series of violent incidents against Muslims.  A mosque in Hamtramck has been vandalized, plus there have been robberies and muggings that local Muslims fear may be incidents of ethnic intimidation. Michigan Radio’s Jack Lessenberry spoke with Dawud Walid.  He is executive director of the Council on American Islamic Relations in Michigan, also known as CAIR.
